When you are ready to remove finished compost to spread it on your lawn or garden, you can simply roll the tumbler to the area where you want the compost, open the door, and remove the compost from the compost bin. To remove compost tea from the base, you simply roll the compost tumbler away, and then pick up the base and open the drain to pour your compost tea into a bucket, or directly onto your garden or houseplants. The composter takes about four to six weeks to create ready-to-use compost under normal conditions, or just two to three weeks in ideal conditions.
